Instructor

Classes are taught by Malik Salaam, Sr. who holds a Master Gas Fitter and Master HVAC/R license for Maryland and Virginia. In addition, he has held various restricted electrical licenses. He also has over 40 years of industry experience, over 20 years of teaching experience with ABC, BCCC, Baltimore City, Fredrick County, Howard County, Lincoln Tech, and Rets Technical Institute. He is also ESCO and NCCER Certified.

All classes are held at Anne Arundel Workforce Development Center (AAWDC) in Linthicum, MD. 

Classes are generally held 2 nights a week for four weeks, three hours per night. Courses are frequently updated through industry standards organizations in addition to the current additions of the International Mechanical Code, Building Code, Plumbing and Fuel Gas Codes.

March: Basic Refrigeration 

September: Hydronics Service 

October: HVAC/R Electrical Service

CFC Classes and Testing for EPA Certification
